I agree with Bruce. We do this because we can, because we are needed and because there was a much higher calling that asked us to serve. We do not ask for thanks but it is always very much appreciated.

Quick questions; does anyone on the list know where a PHTLS or PEPP courses are being held this winter? I need them to renew my Intermediate rating with the National Registry.
Any assistance will be appreciated!

Sending this out to all my fellow EMT'S. We don't do this for the glamor, the money, or the headlines. We do this because God gave us the ability to want to help people when alot of others wouldn't be able to. We do this because of... the awesome feeling of the "save" and to the crappy feeling of someone we could't save. We do this because of the brother/sister hood that we have with our squads and with even another EMT we will never meet. We do this each and every day because we are humble EMT's, not super people or hero's or gods/godesses or better than anybody else or whatever... Plain and simple-we want to help. Nothing more...

As Matt said, this is not the place to air this, nor is Facebook. They are very public forums, and anybody can read what you post. Never say anything online that you wouldn't say in person, because it will end up coming back to bite you.

Probably discussing this online is not the best choice.. I have read a lot about facebook, myspace, twitter, and text messaging getting involved with people careers. You are putting yourself at risk by discussing a private matter such as your situation with random people on the internet. You could get into even more trouble by putting/talking down your previous service if the wrong people saw this. I would recommend deleting your discussion and seeking your legal advice elsewhere. This is not really the place for this type of discussion as we are all EMS professionals and should act so accordingly. I created this MN EMS group to get to know other EMS people from MN not to "bash" services or people. Thank you.
