Good luck with the marathon, Greg! I ran 3 last year, but haven't been in any this year. I'm running a 1/2M with my martial arts instructor on Thanksgiving day. He's a great motivator!

Gerald keep it up. I have tried the program three times and stalled out at week 4 and 5 every time. Maybe will try again this fall after my marathon is over. Good luck.

I'm stalled at week 4... still! Haven't been able to get over this hurdle for the past month or so. I've noticed big changes in my pectoralis major muscles though. Discipline is the key! Whenever I'm bored or feeling sluggish I bang out a set of pushups - gets the blood flowing and the mind working again. Of course, a giant cup of dark roast coffee helps too.

Sound like fun. I will start tonight slow. I think tomorrow I will set a simple goal of 5 sets of 10 throughout the day.

Has anyone accomplished the 100 push-ups goal? While I did not reach the goal I have had several other fitness successes this Spring.

I ran a PR in the Green Bay half-marathon in May and ran my fastest 10 km since college in June.

Yesterday I rode 100km in the American Diabetes Association Tour De Cure. It was a great event and a good ride. I am pretty sure it is the farthest I have ever ridden on a bike.

How is everyone else doing with fitness and health goals?

Well. My goal of 100 pushups has kind of fallen apart. I am finding more happieness in just adding pushups at the end of a run or bike work-out two or three times per week.

Nonetheless, I encourage all members to keep working hard towards their fitness goals. Good luck.
